St Swithun's Church

St Swithun’s is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school and has close links with the local church.

Several members of the congregation are Foundation Governors of the school.

Children from St Swithun’s regularly visit the church for celebrations including Harvest, Christmas and Easter as well as visits to look at the building and to talk about weddings, baptism and other Christian celebrations.

The leaving service in the church each year for Year 6 and their families is always a special time.

The Reverend and members of the congregation, are involved in planning a variety of assemblies and worship activities with the headteacher, staff and pupils of the school.

Parents and children are most welcome to all services at St Swithun’s Church, especially “Messy Church” which is a special art and craft based service on the third Sunday of the month at 9.30 am.
